ACFS Beneficiaries

ACFS Health & Nutrition Programme promote good health and well-being of Children, Adolescents and Youths as part of the life-course continuum; and to improve the nutrition status of children age groups (0-18).  This ACFS progamme provides life-saving services such as children early health assessments, monitoring and provision of nutrition to poor children to give them a good foundation for other interventions like care services, immunisation, and nutritional rehabilitation to ensure children survive all developmental challenges.

ACFS also understands that surviving is not enough. If we want children to thrive in all aspects of their life, ACFS believe that children not only need good health and nutrition, they also need to feel safe and secure, have opportunities to play, and be cared for responsibly, hence we also refer children to the other qualified stakeholders such as the local clinics where such referrals are deemed necessary and in the best interest of the child.

ACFS understand that nutrition is a critical part of health and development for that better nutrition that is related to improved infant, child and maternal health for stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity. Healthy children learn better. People with adequate nutrition are more productive and can create opportunities to gradually break the cycles of poverty and hunger.

Expected Outcomes

  • Improved healthy environments for all children to thrive
