On the ball for 2010

Part of helping people to help themselves is our micro-economic empowerment programmes which encourage men and women to learn skills to earn a living.

Our beadwork groups are improving their skills every day at the different centres – they’ve even jumped on board for 2010 by starting to make soccer ball key rings!

With the excitement of Soccer World Cup driving them they’ve also been busy beading wine glasses using the South African flag’s colours.

Besides creating their own employment beadwork motivates these men and women and gives them back a sense of pride and independence.

The ACFS is grateful to the companies who support this project by placing orders and buying from us. You’re not just buying a piece of art – you’re saving lives and keeping the ACFS going.
