32 000 mouths to feed every day in 2010

width=314With unemployment increasing and HIV/Aids claiming lives every day - there are more orphans and malnourished children in need than ever before. Caregivers are few and hardships are many. As a result we’re now feeding 32 000 children each day.

Insufficient nutrition
The demand for feeding has skyrocketed because our team of nurses keep finding more children showing signs of malnutrition when they visit schools and communities.

And not only are they malnourished – another common problem resulting from insufficient nutrition is iron deficiency or anemia.

Committed to community health
The ACFS is committed to improving and protecting the lives and health of young children and their families.

Good food helps build healthy communities. A daily meal is just the beginning ... by encouraging participation in skills development; support groups; and food gardens we’re helping build self-sufficiency within communities so that they can start to take care of themselves.

Thank you once again to all of our supporters – through us you’re reaching out and changing lives!
